EAA moved its annual AirVenture fly-in to a virtual format in 2020 and delighted fans across the country and worldwide. The event, billed as “five days of flying engagement and fun”, included streaming and on-demand content, plus a virtual mall for exhibitors typically found at the event in Oshkosh.
The WIS 116 river crossing is a critical link in a growing region of the state, connecting area residents to Oshkosh and the Fox Valley via U.S. 45 and U.S. 41. The crossing is integral to those living in the Winneconne area because it provides access to employment, educational facilities, retail, health care providers, recreation, and supports local businesses and trucking access.
Wittman Regional Airport in Winnebago County is considered an economic engine to the Fox Valley Region, as it welcomes thousands of visitors to the area for the annual EAA AirVenture.
