September 28, 2020 – The Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa was awarded a $5.8 million BUILD Grant from the USDOT for its Transportation Renewal Project, which will build a multi-purpose transportation center plus transportation-related office space.
September 28, 2020 – The USDOT awarded $31.8 million to a joint Wisconsin-Minnesota rail project – the Twin Cities-Milwaukee-Chicago Intercity Passenger Rail Service Project. This project is expected to increase economic development, enhance the passenger experience, and improve the efficiency of travel in the region.
September 18, 2020 – Slightly more than a year after the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the Wisconsin County Highway Association announced the Low-Risk Bridge Pilot Program, half of the 16 program bridges have been replaced or will be this year.
