TDA’s first virtual meeting went off without a hitch. The virtual meeting was coordinated from two locations and included 7 speakers, 2 pre-produced segments, real time polling questions, and approximately 130 participants.
February 15, 2021 – Three bridges – County Trunk Highway (CTH) T over Flemming Creek, CTH YY over Bostwick Creek, and CTH I over Bostwick Creek are between 45 and 50 years old. All had been load posted for more than a decade.
February 5, 2021 – County Truck Highway NN, between US-2 and CTH N in Florence County, is increasingly carrying heavy truck traffic. Florence County Highway Commissioner Joe Witynski says County Road NN needs to be preserved, but when one project is moved forward, another is moved back.
January 25, 2021 – Coming to Dane County is a Flex Lane project that will allow vehicle traffic on paved shoulders during peak travel times. This initiative will help alleviate congestion on the Beltline while WisDOT studies a longer-term fix.
January 12, 2021 – Three more companies have announced plans to relocate to or expand operations in Kenosha County. Nosco, RealChem Manufacturing Inc., and The Kroger Company are taking advantage of the location’s access to highways, including the newly expanded I-94 North-South.
November 12, 2020 – At the Transportation Development Association (TDA) Annual Meeting on November 12, TDA of Wisconsin bestowed its highest honor on the men and women across Wisconsin who kept the state “moving” throughout the COVID health emergency.
October 14, 2020 – Brown County, the City of De Pere, and the Town of Lawrence are working together to make the South Bridge Connector Project – a long-discussed project that will alleviate traffic congestion in the area – a reality.
