This section of Pleasant Valley Road has a unique, split-jurisdictional ownership shared by the Town of Grafton and the Village of Grafton.
Pleasant Valley Road is an east-west connector that enables easy commuting to nearby Milwaukee County for jobs, entertainment, and commerce. Its location allows access to local businesses including the Washington County Fairgrounds, and key natural areas such as the Pleasant Valley Nature Park and the Jackson Marsh State Natural Area.
Pleasant Valley Road was last reconstructed in 1967, and after more than half of a century, the road is long overdue for another update. Patching and filling to try to prolong the life of the road costs more in the long run, but without aid, the Town and Village of Grafton are hard-pressed to come up with the funds.
